EPL - Baggies confirms Odemwingie deal

West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo has confirmed the club have agreed terms with Lokomotiv Moscow forward Peter Odemwingie.

The 29-year-old, who has dual Nigerian and Russian citizenship and featured for the African nation at the World Cup this summer, is expected to complete the move imminently and could even be available to face Sunderland on Saturday.

Despite being brought up in Russia, Odemwingie chose to play for Nigeria and has 51 caps to his name, while his former clubs include La Louviere in Belgium and French side Lille.

Albion are also hoping to bring in Red Bull Salzburg winger Somen Tchoyi while they have had a bid rejected for Portsmouth defender Marc Wilson.
