Serie A - Boateng moves to Genoa and joins Milan on loan

Genoa have completed the signing of Kevin-Prince Boateng from Portsmouth for a fee of around £5 million, though the Ghana midfielder has been immediately shipped out on loan to Serie A rivals AC Milan.

Boateng has been training with Milan this week while the two clubs have been thrashing out an agreement about the player's future.

The move will likely see Genoa make a healthy profit on the 26-year-old if he impresses at the San Siro, though he may bizarrely never end up playing a game for the Rossoblu.

Meanwhile, Genoa have loaned striker Robert Acquafresca to Cagliari. The 22-year-old struggled to impress either at Genoa or on loan at Atalanta last term and returns to the club where he made a strong impact in a loan spell two season ago.
