Redknapp ponders Hargreaves move

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is considering bringing in former Man Utd midfielder Owen Hargreaves as a replacement for Wilson Palacios

Hargreaves is available on a free transfer after being released by United at the end of last season having struggled with a series of injury problems, failing to play a single full game in his last two years at Old Trafford.

Hargreaves, who last played for England in 2008, had been linked with a move to West Brom, but now Redknapp looks likely to offer him a short-term deal.

With Luka Modric's future still uncertain, injury concerns to Jermaine Jenas and Tom Huddlestone and Palacios on his way to Stoke, Redknapp is reportedly willing to take a risk with the injury-prone midfielder.
