Barcelona have confirmed that the Spanish football federation has initiated disciplinary proceedings against coach Pep Guardiola.
Guardiola was sent to the stands during Barcelona's draw at Almeria at the beginning of the month for protesting against a decision.
He hit out after the game, accusing the referee Carlos Clos Gomez and his assistants of lying in their explanation of why he had been dismissed and now faces a possible punishment for his post-match comments.
