EPL - Zenden earns another year

Boudewijn Zenden has signed a new contract with Sunderland for the 2010-11 season.

Zenden joined Sunderland as a free agent in October after struggling to find a club following his release by Marseille.

Although the 33-year-old started only one Premier League game for Sunderland last season, he made 19 appearances from the bench, and manager Steve Bruce believes his experience will be important for the squad as a whole.

Zenden has also played for Liverpool, Middlesbrough and Chelsea in England.
