Fiorentina have confirmed the appointment of Sinisa Mihajlovic as the new head coach of the Serie A side.
Fiorentina have released Cesare Prandelli to allow him to replace Marcello Lippi as Italy coach following the World Cup finals and have moved quickly to find a replacement.
Mihajlovic - who represented Roma, Sampdoria, Lazio and Inter Milan during his playing career - resigned as Catania coach after helping the club to avoid relegation.
