WC2010 - Double injury boost for Honduras

Honduras coach Reinaldo Rueda received some rare good news on Sunday with encouraging fitness reports on injured players Wilson Palacios and David Suazo.

Honduras, winless in their last five games heading into a World Cup Group H campaign against Spain, Chile and Switzerland, saw Tottenham midfielder Palacios leave Saturday's 3-0 warm-up defeat to Romania on a stretcher with a shin injury.

Palacios was taken to an Austrian hospital for tests on the injury to his shin, while Suazo had left the field with a problem with his right leg.

Team athletic trainer Carlos Velasco said the outlook for both players was good, although Palacios' problem would take longer to heal.

Honduras open their campaign against Chile in Nelspruit on June 16.
